Yay! It's Monday again!

That's right!  It is Monday again, and you know what that means?  You guessed it!  DJ Trivia tonight at "Rogue's Harbor", in Lansing!  Woo Hoo!  I hope you are as excited as I am, because I will be the one to host your DJ Trivia game!  I really look forward to seeing my faithful subjects (usual trivia teams), as well as meeting the new recruits (new trivia teams) all of whom will make this trivia game a great time!  You know you are bored to death on Mondays, so why not come to "Rogue's Harbor", in Lansing?  The DJ Trivia game itself is Four Rounds. The first Three Rounds are comprised of  5 questions; the first four questions of each round are multiple-choice (random topics of fairly common knowledge questions), with the fifth question being a "take a risk".  The Fourth Round questions are "fill in the blank", with the final question being the "DO OR DIE"!  That last question has turned many a games winners into losers and losers into winners!  So why not come out and play with us tonight?  It is fun, I promise!  Game starts at 7:30!  See you tonight!

Trivia is a blast!

If you were at "The Plantation Bar & Grill" in Ithaca last night, you know how much fun DJ Trivia is!  It was a packed house, as usual, with the loyal "die-hard" trivia teams out in full force.  The game was a battle to the death on points and everyone was quite competitive.  The trivia teams were unusually rowdy; and that made for an exciting game!  The 1st Place prize went to "The Mighty Midwest" with their 480 points, 2nd Place was taken by "LAMA" at 400 points, and last but not least, 3rd Place went to "Old Guys Rule" with their whopping 300 points!  It was a fantastic game, especially for me, your DJ Trivia Host.  I certainly hope to see you all next Wednesday at "The Plantation Bar & Grill" in Ithaca.  Don't forget the game starts at 8:00.  I can't wait!

What can go wrong; usually does!

Wow, was the DJ Trivia game last night at "Rogue's Harbor" in Lansing, an interesting one!  Anything that could go wrong; did!  The trivia game would not show up on the television, the speaker would not play, and the mouse on my computer froze up.  Needless to say, I got the speaker going, myself and Tony (the bartender) tried everything imaginable to get the television working, but to no avail.  The usual trivia teams were there; "Garlic Hot", "Sis", and "The House".  There were quite a few patrons as well, who just watched and laughed at all the shenanigans these trivia teams throw at me all night.  "Garlic Hot" took the 1st Place prize, with "Sis" grabbing 2nd Place, and the loser, I mean 3rd Place winner, was "The House".  It was a very good game, in spite of all that went wrong.  You trivia teams are the absolute best!  I hope to see everyone at "Rogue's Harbor" next Monday at 7:30.  I should have new equipment by then.  Thank you for making my night a lot of fun!

Will Winter ever end?

It's Monday again, and you know what that means:  DJ Trivia tonight at "Rogue's Harbor Inn", in Lansing!  Wooo Hooo!  Come join me for some trivia, cocktails, and a helluva good time.  The trivia teams are a riot to play trivia with, as well as being fun to hang out with too.  After all, what could you possibly be doing this evening that could be more fun?  Winter is still lingering with the crappy snow and freezing temps, and that right there is all the reason you should need for coming out to play DJ Trivia at "Rogue's Harbor" tonight!  If you don't, I will cry.  Now, wouldn't it be better for you to come out and play trivia, than to make a grown woman cry?  Game starts at 7:30, but I'll wait for you to get there!  See you tonight!

Why are you still staying home at night?

Wooooo!  If you were not at "The Plantation Bar & Grill" in Ithaca last night, you missed out on a really great time!  The usual "die hard" trivia teams were there, as were a few new trivia teams who joined our little DJ Trivia family.  It was a very good night for the trivia teams!  1st Place went to trivia team "Old Guys Rule!" for their 560 point score, with 2nd Place going to a new trivia team "Jimbobo" with 475 points, and 3rd Place went to trivia team "Chi Chi" who had 435 points!  The game itself was a complete blast!  Hosting the game, well, that's another story.  The sarcasm and torture fairy plagued me all night, but I held my own!  This week at every DJ Trivia venue I have hosted, the interaction between myself and the trivia teams has been so much fun; even with the torment.  I honestly do look forward to seeing everyone at all of the locations I host trivia!  So, to everyone, thank you for making my job something to look forward to!  I'm glad to host DJ Trivia for all of you!

Harassing the Trivia Host? BRING IT!

Last night I hosted DJ Trivia at "Vonnie's Halfway Haus" in Phelps / Clifton Springs, and let me start off by saying, "there is something in the air this week with all of our trivia teams!"  For some reason, all of my trivia teams apparently feel the need to give me *#@! (all in good humor, oh yeah sarcasm too) once I pick up that microphone!  Monday, it was the trivia teams at "Rogue's Harbor"; Tuesday, it was everyone at "Vonnie's Halfway Haus", and who knows what tonight at "The Plantation Bar & Grill" is going to bring me but I'M READY SO BRING IT!!!!  Anyway, enough of that.  Last nights game was a hoot!  1st Place went to "Team Sandy" who had 283 points, 2nd Place was taken by "The Daves" who raked in 186 points, and lest we forget, good ol' "Shorty" was, once again, LAST taking 3rd Place (as usual) with a whopping 186 points!  Thank you to everyone who came out to play with me last night.  I wonder what tonight has in store for me?  Why don't you come out and see for yourself?  I'll be at "The Plantation Bar & Grill" in Ithaca and the game starts at 8:00!  Wish me luck!

What could be more fun on St. Patrick's Day than Trivia?

It was another fun-filled evening at "Rogue's Harbor" in Lansing last night.  The regular trivia teams were there, ("Garlic Hot" and "Sis") as well as a couple of new trivia teams, "The Short Timers" and "Fierce Tigers".  These two new teams added quite a bit of fun when they tried to rattle the Host!  All of the trivia teams decided to join in on the harassment by yelling at me (all in good humor) to "hurry up" and "read the answer" and whatever else they could think of to shout.  Everyone found out quite quickly that I can take it, however, I can dish it out too!  The game was a good one with "Sis" taking 3rd Place with 560 points, "The Short Timers" took 2nd Place with 680 points, and the 1st Place prize went to the newest trivia team "Fierce Tigers" with 720 points!  Great job to all who came out to play!  Be at "Rogue's Harbor" in Lansing, next Monday; game starts at 7:30!  I look forward to seeing you!

Sometimes loyalty means everything!

It never ceases to amaze me, the lengths in which some trivia team players will go to in order to play DJ Trivia.  Sometimes loyalty is everything!  Last night at "Rogue's Harbor" in Lansing was a great example of that loyalty.  "Garlic Hot", "Sis", and "The House" were battling it out all night.  In the end, "The House" took 1st Place, with "Garlic Hot" grabbing 2nd Place, and yep, you guessed it, "Sis" with 3rd!  I would like to personally thank "Sis" for her undying loyalty to DJ Trivia.  "Sis" drove from Syracuse to be there.  Apparently she didn't think she would make it on time, however, I held the game until she got there.  So, many thanks go out to trivia team "Sis" and her show of loyalty, you are a great asset to DJ Trivia!  To all the loyal trivia teams who come out to play with us, you are the best!  Thank you!

Never make fun of the underdog team! (3/03/14)

Wow!  What a great time we had last night at "Rogue's Harbor" in Lansing!  There were quite a few people who came out in the frigid cold to play DJ Trivia!  Everyone was in a great mood and raring to go!  We had our usual "die-hard" trivia teams; "Garlic Hot", "Sis", "The Mighty Midwest", and "Frozen Again" (aka "Frozen", "Still Frozen").  We also had a NEW trivia team, "Rugged Entourage", who did extremely well for their first game with us!  The game itself was pretty intense as far as the score was concerned.  Everyone was very close on points, and it appeared as if this would be a battle to the death.  I made the mistake of picking on trivia team "Sis", because most of their answers were wrong and they were in last place.  Then, the last question of the night (The Do or Die Dare), trivia team "Sis" answered this question correctly and ultimately took 1st Place!  Lesson learned, "never make fun of the losing team, you may get slapped", I certainly did!  Well, needless to say I am preparing to eat my shoe for lunch today.  Congratulations trivia team "SIS"!  Job well done!  To everyone else who came out to play, thank you so much for playing DJ Trivia with me!  I will be at "The Plantation Bar & Grill" on Wednesday, so come out and play.

Well it's Monday again and you know what that means; DJ TRIVIA tonight at "Rogue's Harbor" in Lansing!  Game starts at 7:30.  Here is a list of the reasons you should come out to play:  It's free, it's fun, the drinks are awesome, it's fun, the food is great, it's fun, the trivia teams are a blast, did I mention it's fun?  I always look forward to hosting trivia at Rogue's on Monday night because it is one of my very first DJTrivia venues.  The trivia game is always a good time there (especially for the trivia teams who have cocktails), and a great deal of laughing and fun always ends up briefly stopping the game until everyone, including your host, gains composer!  Look, I know you are sitting there reading this blog wondering "what is there to do on Monday nights around here" - BAM - DJTrivia that's what!

I'm so excited! Guess why?

That's right, I am excited!  Not only do I get to host the DJ Trivia game tonight at "Rogue's Harbor" in Lansing;  If you are looking for something to do tonight, why not join me at Rogue's Harbor for trivia?  The game starts at 7:30, however, you may want to arrive a little earlier to find good seating and order some edibles and drinkables (both of which are outstanding by the way).
